From Flea Creek head back up Gentle Annie Track, low range 4WD again - great little climb. Turn right onto Brindabella Road.
The drive towards Tumut follows a pretty well maintained unsealed primary road across the picturesque Goodradigbee River that flows along the Brindabella Valley and then climbs up through a mixture of eucalyptus forest and pine plantations, watch our for livestock along this route when you cross the cattle grids. Around after leaving Gentle Annie Track Barnetts Road will appear on your left after 24km - turn left here.

Around 44km from Tumut and 77km from Canberra, the head of Barnetts Track departs Brindabella Road through an area formerly a pine plantation (as at 2017).

Barnetts road, unsealed secondary track is still two wheel drive accessible, yet with sections of red clay appear to look a bit more challenging in the wet and after a bit of traffic.
