Nearly 5km after Emu Creek Flat things begin to get serious! Turn left onto Broken Cart Track. You may have to squint hard to look down this unsealed tertiary track that does not see much use (as of April 2017). If you are precious about your paint give the next 10 km of low range a miss and make your way around to the easier southern section via Boundary Road.

This is a low range boogie, with plenty of ruts, wash-outs, downed trees and bog holes to keep your level of focus red-lining for the next two hours.
