The Shannon Basin Loop begins on the Backcountry Access Road, then drops down an old roadbed that meanders down 3.2 km to a bridge crossing over Shannon Creek. From there you can drop down the Sea to Summit Trail and continue to the bottom of the gondola, or stay right to take the Upper Sea to Summit Trail to return to the summit.
